How to Check Your SEBI Grade A Phase 1 Result

SEBI does not send results by post. You must check it online on their official career portal. Follow these simple steps to download your merit list or scorecard.

Step 1: Download the Merit List PDF

1. Go to the official website: sebi.gov.in.
2. Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Careers”.
3. Look for the link titled “SEBI Recruitment Exercise for Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) 2025 – Results of Phase I”.
4. Click on your specific stream (General, Legal, IT, Research, etc.).
5. A PDF will open. Press Ctrl+F (or use the search bar on mobile) and type your Roll Number.
6. If your roll number is highlighted, congratulations! You have qualified for Phase 2.

Step 2: Check Your Scorecard & Marks

Even if you did not qualify, you can check your marks to see where you stand.

1. On the same Careers page, click on the “Score Card” link activated on Feb 4, 2026.
2. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (DD-MM-YYYY).
3. Your section-wise and overall marks will appear on the screen.
4. Tip: Save a screenshot of your scorecard for future reference.

Understanding the Cut-Offs

The Phase 1 exam is qualifying in nature. This means the marks you scored here will not be added to your final selection total. However, you had to clear two types of cut-offs to pass:

• Sectional Cut-off: Minimum 30% marks in Paper 1 and 40% marks in Paper 2.
• Overall Cut-off: You need a specific aggregate score (usually 40% or higher depending on the stream) to be shortlisted.

Note: SEBI usually releases the official cut-off marks document along with or shortly after the scorecard. Check the scorecard to see the specific cut-off applied to your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS).

What Happens Next? The Phase 2 Exam

If you have cleared Phase 1, you have very little time to relax. The Phase 2 (Mains) Exam is scheduled for February 21, 2026.

Key things to remember for Phase 2:

• Admit Card: Expect the Phase 2 Call Letter to be released 7–10 days before the exam (around mid-February).
• Pattern: Phase 2 will have two papers. Paper 1 is Descriptive English (typing on a computer), and Paper 2 is subject-specific (Commerce, Law, IT, etc.).
• Weightage: This phase is crucial as it carries 85% weightage in your final selection. The remaining 15% comes from the interview.
