UPESSC Exam Calendar 2026 Out: Check TGT, PGT & UP TET Dates

The wait is finally over for more than 13 lakh government teacher aspirants in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has officially released its much-awaited examination calendar for the year 2026.

After a delay of nearly four years, the commission has confirmed the dates for the pending TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) and PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) exams from the 2022 advertisement. Additionally, the commission has announced fresh dates for the Assistant Professor re-exam and the UP TET 2026 schedule.

UPESSC Exam Date 2026: Complete Schedule

1. Assistant Professor (Advt. No. 51)

• Exam Date: April 18 and April 19, 2026 (Saturday & Sunday)
• Context: This exam was previously held in 2025 but was cancelled due to reported irregularities. The commission has decided to conduct a fresh exam with stricter security measures.

2. PGT Recruitment (Advt. No. 02/2022)

• Exam Date: May 9 and May 10, 2026 (Saturday & Sunday)
• Details: This is for the post of Post Graduate Teachers in government-aided secondary schools. Candidates have been waiting for this date since applying in 2022.

3. TGT Recruitment (Advt. No. 01/2022)

• Exam Date: June 3 and June 4, 2026 (Wednesday & Thursday)
• Details: This exam fills vacancies for Trained Graduate Teachers. It has the highest number of applicants among the pending recruitments.

4. UP TET 2026 (Teacher Eligibility Test)

• Exam Date: July 2, 3, and 4, 2026
• Important Change: For the first time, UP TET will be conducted by the new commission (UPESSC) instead of the Examination Regulatory Authority (PNP).
